NOTICE TO ALL W.O.A.A. SENIOR HOCKEY TEAM OFFICIALS
& PLAYERS
THE FOLLOWING ARE MINIMUM SUSPENSIONS WHICH SHALL
BE IMPOSED FOR INFRACTIONS WHICH OCCUR IN ALL W.O.A.A. SENIOR HOCKEY
EXHIBITION, LEAGUE, ALL-STAR AND PLAY-OFF GAMES DURING THE 2003-2004 PLAYING SEASON. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH TEAM
MANAGER AND COACH TO ENSURE HIS TEAM OFFICIALS AND PLAYERS SIT OUT THEIR
APPROPRIATE SUSPENSIONS. (REFER TO SEC. N - SUSPENSIONS, W.O.A.A.
SENIOR HOCKEY MANUAL OF OPERATIONS.)
PLAYERS:
Players who receive Game
Misconducts under C.H.A. regulations will receive the following suspensions,
under the authorization of the Board of Directors.

MATCH PENALTIES:
All Match Penalties will be a
minimum of three (3) games suspension.
Each Match Penalty will be reviewed by the Senior Hockey Chairman and/or
Committee and teams will be notified of the length of the suspension. There shall be no Appeal to a suspension of
five (5) games per infraction or less.
Appeals for six (6) games per infraction or more, must be submitted
within seven (7) W.O.A.A. business days from the date of notification of the
decision in accordance with W.O.A.A. By-Law No. 3.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT;
HEADGEAR:
All Senior players, including
goalkeepers, shall wear a C.S.A. approved hockey helmet. Goalkeepers must also wear a C.S.A. approved
mask. The chin strap of the helmet must
be properly fastened under the chin to the hockey helmet.
Beginning the 2003-04
season, all Senior Hockey player's, including goalkeepers, helmets MUST have
properly fitted ear guards. Removal of
the earpieces is considered an alteration of the C.S.A. approved helmet.
THESE ARE MINIMUM SUSPENSIONS! ADDITIONAL SUSPENSIONS WILL BE
ASSESSED WHEREVER CONDITIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES
WARRANT.
